The SSPA will present again the „Young Researcher Award“
at the 2026 World Congress of Sports Physiotherapy, which will take place on December 4–5, 2026, in Bern. The prize is open to all 3rd year bachelor students in the physiotherapy programme at a university of applied sciences, if they deal with a topic from the field of sports physiotherapy in their final thesis. The authors of the best abstract will receive the SSPA Young Researcher Award and will be invited to present their work at the 2026 World Congress of Sports Physiotherapy.

The winner of the award will receive a prize of CHF 1,000.-.

Please note that the submission deadline for this year’s SSPA Young Researcher Award competition is September 23, 2026. Link: https://sportfisio.ch/research-award/

Please also be aware that:

•           the abstract must be written in English;
•           the winner will be required to give their presentation in English;
•           all participants will have the opportunity to present their work in the form of a poster.
